This story made the front page of the LA Times too. The intriguing piece of date was that 48% of teenagers bought no CDs in 2007, compared to 38% the previous year. Other fun facts from the NPD Group report played up by the Times: The number of people buying music legally from online music stores jumped 21% to 29 million last year, from 24 million in 2006, and the increase in legal online sales was driven by people 36 to 50, providing a target demo for the shrinking music biz.
