MySpace Allows for Inexpensive Ad Targeting by Bands

Advertisers/bands can choose to target, say, fans of the band Coldplay who live in San Francisco. The advertisers then pay MySpace each time someone clicks on their ad. Ads can link to other MySpace pages, such as a band’s profile, or external Web sites, like a ticket-buying site.

New Music Site Gives Fans a Cut

Thereafter, whenever someone else buys the same song, those who have already bought it get paid in credit that can be redeemed for more Popcuts music.
